The skull serves as a memento mori, to seize the day, with the Black Moon sigil as a third eye. A black moon is the second occurrence of a new moon in a calendar month. A double dagger is a typographical symbol. Together they symbolically represent the Black Moon Company. The roman numeral IV symbolizes the four directions (North, South, East, West); the four elements (Earth, Air, Wind, Fire); the four seasons (Winter, Summer, Autumn, Fall); the four phases of the moon (crescent, gibbous, waxing, waning); the four color process (Cyan, Magenta, Black, Yellow). The roman numeral III signifies the past, present, future; beginning, middle, end; birth, life, death; the three primary colors (Red, Green, Blue) in which all other colors are made.
